EXCITED FOR THE SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW? Don't believe the hype. Halftime will lack flavor, and most likely Flava Flav, too.

"Last year was the exception to the rule. Though we care a lot about the game itself, halftime is must-flee TV. There was and still is a reason other networks counter-program specifically for the end of the second quarter, from MTV's Beavis and Butthead specials of the mid-1990s to this year's relaunch of MTV2 and pay-per-view offerings such as the Lingerie Bowl and Girls Gone Wild. A look back at the previous XXXVIII halftime shows reminds us of that."
